It concludes that four in five Americans use social media at least once a month, and half participate in social-networking services like Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.
But before you dismiss the social-media phenomenon as strictly the province of twentysomethings and teens, consider the greatest increase in social media adoption over the past year has been among adults ages 35 to 54, where participation has grown 60%, Forrester says.
Forrester based its results on responses from nearly 4,500 consumers.
